Rubbish collection
Every Wednesday for areas: Matarangi, Kuaotunu, Opito Bay, Whangapoua, and Coromandel Town.

Red week (red lid bin)
One week is a red week for the collection of general rubbish (red lid bin) and food scraps.
Please place the following bins on the kerbside by 8am.

Yellow week (yellow lid bin)
The next week is a yellow week (yellow lid bin) for the collection of mixed recycling, your glass crate and food scraps.
Please place the following bins on the kerbside by 8am.

Collections are on Thursday when a public holiday has fallen on the previous weekend.

You can also drop your rubbish and recycling at the Matarangi Transfer Station.

Fire permits

Always consider the risks before lighting an open fire, as Emergency response can be costly to landowners if it gets out of control.

During the dryer months there is a closed open fire season, so please check the TCDC website for rules and regulations.
